Styled letters are Unicode characters, not fonts โ screen readers may read them letter by letter and search engines don't match them to plain words, so keep essential details in plain text. Unicode accessibility guide
Warzone shows the Activision ID on PC and cross-play, or the console online ID when you are on PlayStation or Xbox without cross-play. Activision IDs are a name plus a number (Name#1234567) and accept letters, numbers and a limited set of characters; they are checked by a filter that rejects impersonation and offensive terms. The four-character clan tag beside your name is where symbols usually appear, because it accepts a wider set than the ID.
Regiment names, Discord team names and tournament registrations take full Unicode, so the styled rows work there. On console, PSN and Xbox rules apply to the visible name โ see those pages for exact character sets.
Type your name or a four-character clan tag.
Choose a style, or the Clan tag row for the in-game tag.
Paste into the Activision account name field, the clan tag box, or your regiment name.
Depends on platform and cross-play settings.
The clan tag is the most-seen four characters in the game: it appears in the kill feed, the lobby and the scoreboard at small size. Plain bracketed letters ([XYZ]) are the most readable; symbols like โ and โ display but eat one of your four slots. The tag is coloured by the game, not by you. Tags containing symbols are occasionally rejected by the filter even when they are harmless, so keep a plain fallback ready.
Activision grants one free ID change, with paid changes afterwards; the #number is reassigned automatically. Console name changes follow Sony and Microsoft policies. Warzoneโs filter blocks names imitating developers, moderators or brands, and any offensive term โ a rejection is almost always the filter rather than the characters. Regiment names allow more characters than the ID, which makes them the best place for a styled team identity.
No โ it allows letters, numbers and a limited character set, checked by a filter.
Four. Symbols count toward that, so plain letters give you the most room.
The filter blocks impersonation and offensive terms. Try a plain variant first.
Regiment names accept a wider character set than the ID, so most styles display.
