Clash of Clans lets you change your player name once for free (Settings โ Change Name) and afterwards for gems; clan names are set when the clan is created. Both accept Unicode letters and symbols up to 15 characters, and Supercellโs font renders the mathematical alphabets, so bold, gothic and double-struck names appear correctly in the village, the clan roster and the war map. The same rules apply in Clash Royale.
Because the name change is expensive after the first one, use this page to preview. Symbols such as โ โ โจ โ โก are plain Unicode and count as one character each; styled letters count as one in Supercell games (unlike Fortnite).

Readability in the Roster
Names are shown small in clan chat and the war map, so heavy gothic and bubble letters can be hard to read. Bold sans is the most legible styled option; keep symbols to one each side. The clan description accepts longer styled text โ put dividers, requirements and Discord links there rather than cramming the name.
