Instagram Fonts Generator – Copy & Paste Fonts for IG Bio

Instagram does not offer bold, italic or custom fonts in the app. The only way to change how text looks in your bio, name, captions and comments is to use Unicode characters that resemble different fonts. Unicode fonts work in every free-text field on Instagram: the Name field on your profile, the bio, post captions, comments, Reels descriptions, Notes, Threads posts and Story text (via the text tool with "Type" mode). The @username is the one place they do not work – Instagram restricts handles to letters, numbers, periods and underscores.

Bios are short, so a single highlighted line is more effective than a fully styled paragraph. Keep at least your niche keyword (for example "photographer" or "fitness coach") in plain text so Instagram search can still match it.

The characters on this page are rendered by the phone's operating system, not by Instagram. iOS and Android both ship full Unicode fonts, so followers see the same styled text regardless of device. The only difference you may notice is that some decorative symbols (✧ ⋆ ♡) are drawn slightly differently by Apple and Google fonts.

VoiceOver and TalkBack read some fancy characters letter by letter with technical names. To keep your profile accessible, use fancy fonts for short emphasis and keep the important information – what you do, where you are, how to contact you – in regular text.
