Spaced Text Generator – Add Spaces, Dots or Dashes Between Letters

Spaced text inserts a separator between every letter. A single space gives the airy s p a c e d look of soft-aesthetic bios; dots and dashes read as deliberate emphasis (n.o.p.e, s-l-o-w); full-width characters achieve a similar effect with built-in width, the classic ｖａｐｏｒｗａｖｅ style. Word gaps are kept wider than letter gaps so the text still reads as separate words.

Because the output is plain characters, it pastes into any bio, caption, message or username field that allows the separator you chose.

Single-spaced lowercase (ᴀ ᴇ ꜱ ᴛ ʜ ᴇ ᴛ ɪ ᴄ) is the signature of soft and minimalist Instagram bios. Dotted text (w.o.w) and dashed text (s-l-o-w) mimic spelling something out loud for emphasis in chats and comments. Bullet and star separators turn a phrase into a decorative header. Underscores and slashes are used in hacker and "system" aesthetics.

Spacing roughly doubles the length of a word (a 6-letter word becomes 11 characters with single spaces, 16 with " • "). Instagram bios allow 150 characters, TikTok 80, X 160 – so space one headline line rather than the whole bio. Full-width text uses one character per letter but each is double-width on screen, so it looks spaced without costing characters.

Spaces are rejected in almost every @username but dots and underscores are usually allowed, which is why s.p.a.c.e.d and s_p_a_c_e_d handles are common on Instagram and TikTok. Display names accept spaces, so the single-space style works there. Small-caps and bold spaced variants combine spacing with a Unicode font for names.

Spaced words are harder to read at length and screen readers may spell them letter by letter. Keep spaced text to a name or a short phrase and leave sentences unspaced.
