Tumblr Fonts Generator – Aesthetic Unicode Text for Tumblr

Tumblr allows rich text in posts, but the blog title, description, ask box message and tags are plain text – and many popular themes display the description in a plain font. Unicode fonts give those fields the aesthetic look that Tumblr's soft, vaporwave and dark-academia communities favour, without editing theme HTML or CSS.

If you run a custom theme you can set a real web font in CSS, which is better for long body text. Unicode fonts are for the plain-text fields themes cannot style – and for blogs on the default theme or the mobile app, where custom CSS is not applied. They also survive when a post is reblogged to another blog with a different theme.

Tumblr has a strong accessibility culture; long posts in Unicode fonts are frequently criticised because screen readers spell them out. Style the title and a header, and keep post bodies in normal text – that matches community norms and keeps your posts readable.
