The game accepts Unicode letters, which lets you use bold, gothic or bubble letters, the ΰΆ character (a Sinhala letter that looks exactly like a crewmate) and the famous blank name made from an invisible filler character.

It still works in current versions on mobile and PC, though public lobbies may show a placeholder. The βBlank prefixβ variant keeps your real name but pushes it right, which is used for alignment jokes.
ΰΆ and Other Sus Symbols
ΰΆ (U+0D9E) is the Sinhala letter βkantaja naasikyayaβ and became the Among Us meme because of its crewmate shape. It renders on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. βͺ and β mark crewmate and impostor roles in friend-group lobbies. Keep names readable in the vote screen β gothic and bubble letters are fun but hard to read at that size.
