Snapchat gives you a handful of caption fonts inside the camera, but nothing for your display name, chats or the text in your profile. Unicode fonts fill that gap: paste a styled name and it shows in your friends' chat lists, on your Snapcode profile and in group chats.

Snapchat names are short and seen mostly in lists, so this page focuses on compact, high-contrast styles and a few playful decorations.

Your username is permanent-ish (changeable once a year) and limited to letters, numbers, periods, hyphens and underscores. Your display name can be changed any time and accepts Unicode fonts and symbols. All the styles here go in the display name field, which is what friends see in chats and stories.

Snapchat's caption tool offers a few built-in fonts, but pasting Unicode text adds styles it does not have – script, gothic, bubble or upside-down – and those characters are rendered as part of the image, so viewers see them regardless of their device. Keep captions short: styled characters are wider than normal text and can wrap awkwardly on a vertical snap.

Bubble and filled bubble names are easy to spot in a chat list. Script with a ★ or ♡ on each side is the classic aesthetic name. Small caps reads as clean and understated. Because the list view is small, avoid long decorated names – two symbols and a short base name is the sweet spot.

Snapchat runs on iOS and Android, both of which render the Unicode ranges used here. The Flipped style uses characters from several alphabets and may look slightly different between the two platforms; the letter styles are consistent.
