Make bold, italic and fancy text for Facebook posts, comments, your bio and page name. Facebook has no formatting buttons โ Unicode fonts are the only way, and they paste straight in.

Facebook strips formatting from everything you paste and offers no bold or italic buttons for personal posts, comments, your Intro/bio or Page names. Unicode fonts get around this: each letter is replaced by a look-alike character from the Unicode standard, so Facebook treats it as plain text but displays it bold, italic, script or decorated.
This Facebook fonts generator focuses on the styles that read well in the News Feed: sans-serif bold for headlines, italic for quotes, small caps for labels, and a few announcement decorations for Page and Group admins.
Facebook only supports bold formatting in a few places โ Notes (discontinued), some Group posts with the "text formatting" option, and Messenger with *asterisks*. For a normal post, comment or Page description there is no bold option at all. Unicode bold text is the workaround used by Pages, marketplace sellers and community admins: paste ๐๐ผ๐น๐ฑ characters generated here and Facebook shows them bold on every device, including the mobile app and notifications.
Unicode fonts work anywhere Facebook accepts free text. The only field that rejects them is the username in your profile URL.
The first line of a Facebook post is what shows before "See more", so that is where bold text earns its keep. Keep the body in plain text โ Facebook's algorithm and search read plain words, and styled paragraphs are harder for people to read on a phone. Page admins commonly use a ๐ข or โค decorated bold line for announcements and a ๐ฅ wrapped line for offers; one styled line per post is plenty.
Facebook requires real names in standard characters and may ask for ID if a profile name contains unusual symbols. Do not use fancy fonts in the main name field. The "Other names / Nickname" field and Page names are more flexible, and the Intro field accepts any Unicode font.
20 font styles, 5000+ symbols and a full Unicode text editor. Everything runs in your browser and your text never leaves your device.
