Reddit Fonts Generator – Fancy Unicode Text for Reddit

Reddit supports Markdown in post bodies and comments (**bold**, *italic*, code blocks), but not in post titles, display names, user flair, subreddit names or sidebar descriptions. Unicode fonts are the only way to style those, and they also work inside comments when you want a style Markdown lacks – small caps, gothic, bubble letters.

The Unicode text is plain characters, so it survives on old Reddit, new Reddit, the official app and third-party clients alike.

Post titles are the main use: subreddits that allow it see bold Unicode titles stand out in the feed, and it is the only way to emphasise a word in a title. Display names (shown on your profile, separate from u/username) accept Unicode, as does user flair on most subreddits, the profile "About" text, and community descriptions set by moderators.

Many large subreddits ban "clickbait" or non-standard characters in titles, and AutoModerator often removes posts with Unicode fonts. Check the rules before posting a styled title. In comments, styled text is generally tolerated but downvoted if it hurts readability – use it for a single word or a joke, not a paragraph.

For comment bodies prefer Markdown: it is searchable, works with screen readers, and renders consistently. Use Unicode fonts where Markdown is not available (titles, flair, names) or for styles it does not offer. Note that Reddit search does not match Unicode-styled words, so keep searchable keywords in plain text in your title.

Because the fonts are Unicode characters rendered by the device, they look the same on old.reddit.com, the redesign, the official app and clients like Apollo successors. The only variation is the system font drawing them.
